Tibet to promote culture via World Expo: official

    BEIJING, Feb. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Tibet will showcase its colorful culture via the 2010 Shanghai World Expo and promote its culture sector, according to Duotuo, vice-chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Regional Government.

    Duotuo made the remark at a meeting to mobilize performances and intangible cultural relic shows by the region at the World Expo on Feb. 5.

    "Tibet will seize the opportunity to present its ethnical culture and publicize itself on the big platform," he noted.

    Duotuo said the World Expo will promote Tibet's reputation and attract more investments and tourists from home and abroad, boosting the region's rapid development.
