    BEIJING, Feb. 1 (Xinhuanet) -- Tar Monastery, a famous Tibetan lamasery, and the Qinghai Lake on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau were chosen as the most popular tourist attractions in northwest China's Qinghai Province in 2009.

    The Tar Monastery received 1.53 million tourists last year, earning a total revenue of 86 million yuan (12.6 million U.S. dollars) in entrance tickets. The tourist zone of the Qinghai-Lake ranked second with the number of visitors exceeding 610,000, registering the ticket sales of 49 million yuan.
