BEIJING, Jan. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- Recording for an evening gala was completed at the Lhasa Television Station on Thursday in Lhasa to mark the upcoming traditional Chinese New Year and Tibetan New Year, both of which fall on Feb. 14.
With the theme of "harmony in the holy city," the gala will feature the profound and unique traditional Tibetan culture.
It will showcase the great changes that have taken place in Lhasa City since the launch of the Democratic Reform in 1959, especially since the launch of China's reform and opening-up move in 1979.
The gala will also display the harmonious and happy life Lhasa residents are leading and the upbeat spirit they are having.
The gala, which will be attended by more than 300 actors, is to be broadcast on the Lhasa TV Station and Tibet TV Station during the seven-day New Year holiday, which starts on Feb. 13.
