SANTIAGO, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Chileans went to the polls on Sunday to choose their president between billionaire Sebastian Pinera and former President Eduardo Frei.
Latest surveys suggested that Sunday's runoff a technical dead heat and either of them can be the final winner. Some 8.3 million people are eligible to cast their votes.
Polls were to close at 4:00 p.m. (1900 GMT). Preliminary results are expected some three hours later.
