BANGKOK, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- The King on Friday approved a list of five new portfolios in a minor cabinet reshuffle, which was announced by Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva earlier, Thai media reported Saturday.

According to Bangkok Post, Vejjajiva said the five new ministers and deputy ministers will take an oath of allegiance Monday before the King at the Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok, where he has been receiving medical treatment.

The list of new ministers is: Deputy Prime minister for economic matters Trairong Suwankiri, Public Health Minister Jurin Laksanavisit, Deputy Public Health Minister Pansiri Kulnartsiri; Education Minister Chinnaworn Boonyakiat, and Deputy Transport Minister Suchart Chokechaiwattanakorn.

When asked earlier Friday whether there will be a major reshuffle after the no-confidence motion, Abhisit said that the government will evaluate the situation again after the debate.
