HOUSTON, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- A nut company in U.S. state of Texas said Friday it was recalling 270 packages of pine nuts over concerns that the product may have been contaminated by Salmonella.

Hines Nut Co., based in Dallas, Texas, said the nuts being recalled were packed in eight-ounce foam trays. The product was only distributed to North Carolina.

The company said the problem was discovered in sampling from a supplier. So far, no illnesses have been reported related to the nuts product, the company said.¡¡
