NEW YORK, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation plans to unveil a digital billboard in Times Square, New York, on Friday featuring photos and names of fugitives and missing persons, local TV channel NY1 said.

The rotating display will show mostly New York fugitives, but will also have international criminals.

It will also publicize high-priority security messages.

The FBI hopes the millions of people who pass through Times Square will help locate those who are featured.

Times Square is a major intersection in Manhattan, a borough of New York City, at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue and stretching from West 42nd to West 47th Streets. Times Square, sometimes known as the "Crossroads of the World," has achieved the status of an iconic world landmark and has become a symbol of New York City. The square is principally defined by its spectaculars, animated, digital advertisements.
