HELSINKI, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Finland's first space tourist has booked a flight on a commercial spacecraft, according to Finnish media's report Friday.

The traveller shelled out some 140,000 euros (about 201,222 U.S. dollars) for the ticket into the space, said Area, the company's sales agent in Finland, without revealing the identity of the tourist.

Virgin Galactic, the company offering the spacecraft, has already provided trips to some 300 people around the world.

The company's commercial space flights will depart from New Mexico in the U.S. next year and Kiruna in Sweden in 2012.

During a two-hour flight, the passengers aboard will get a glimpse of the space 115 kilometers above the earth and experience weightlessness for five minutes.
