BANGKOK, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Thai government is ready to explain to the Japanese External Trade Organization (JETRO) about measures having been prepared to solve the eastern Map Ta Phut industrial problem, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said Friday.

Industry Minister Charnchai Chairungruang is going to invite the JETRO representatives to meet with the government for explaining about the measures having been planned to solve the industrial problem, Thai News Agency quoted Abhisit as saying.

From late last year, the eastern Map Ta Phut industrial projects have been suspended after environmentalists and villagers surrounding the eastern Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate filed charges against the government for illegally approving them by bypassing constitutional requirements.

In a move to solve the problem, on Tuesday the Thai cabinet approved a proposal of a ministerial regulation to set up an independent environmental and health impact advisory body as it will be soon submitted to parliament for endorsement.

The advisory body's establishment is going to coincide with petitions to the Administrative Court for the suspended industrial projects to resume their operations.
