Annular solar eclipse observed in Myanmar

    YANGON, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Annular solar eclipse was observed in Myanmar Friday afternoon with the astronomical phenomenon beginning at 01:25 p.m. in the southwestern part of the country, according to the Meteorology and Hydrology Department.

    In Yangon, a lot of people, wearing special sunglasses, were curious to see the partial eclipse starting at the time. The sun looked blazing with strong rays spreading out from the outline of the moon.

    The eclipse started to move out of Yangon sky towards the northeast at 3:20 p.m..

    The weather in the former capital is a little cloudy without rainfall.

    Air temperature fell slightly during the eclipse with little effect on daily activities.
