BANGKOK, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Thailand is monitoring the situation in quake-devastated Haiti to see how the country can additionally help relieve Haitian survivors, Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban said Friday.

Thai government Thursday approved a humanitarian fund of 20,000 U.S. dollars for Haiti in the wake of the powerful quake Tuesday.

Thailand will consider sending more relief fund or military rescuers to Haiti, Suthep said.
