MANILA, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- A moderate earthquake struck the southern Philippine province of Davao Friday morning, the local media reported.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake has a magnitude of 5.3, with the epicenter estimated at 32 kilometers southeast of town of Tagum, according to a report filed by Inquirer. net.
Phivolcs said the quake was tectonic in origin. There were no injuries or damages reported.
