MADRID, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Primera Liga strugglers Zaragoza sealed the signing of Czech international defender Jiri Jarosik on Wednesday morning.

Jarosik is Zaragoza's third signing during the winter transfer market and has agreed a contract until the end of June 2011.

The 32-year-old has joined from Russian side Krylia Sovetov and joins Paraguayan striker 'Chupete' Suazo and Portuguese winger Eliseu in the Romareda Stadium as the side now coached by Jose Aurelio Gay tries to climb out of the relegation zone.

He has also played for Premier League side Chelsea and Scottish team Glasgow Celtic

Jarosik's arrival probably means the end of the career of Argentinan veteran Ruben Fabio Alaya at Zaragoza.

Ayala received heavy criticism from Gay after Zaragoza lost 6-0to Real Madrid before Christmas and has not played for the team since.
