    BEIJING, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan met here Wednesday with Honorary Chairman Andre Desmarais of the Canada China Business Council (CCBC).

    The two sides exchanged views on bilateral economic cooperation, opposing trade protectionism and other issues of common concern.

    The CCBC, founded in 1978 as a private, not-for-profit business association, is dedicated to building its members' business success in China and Canada by offering business service and support.

    In addition to its head office in Toronto and an office in Vancouver, the CCBC has offices and professional staff in two of China's leading economic centers, Beijing and Shanghai.
