MADRID, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Atletico Madrid's latest signing "Toto" Salvio, said on Tuesday that he was delighted at being able to move to Spain.

Spanish sources say that Argentinean club Lanus has agreed an eight million euro deal to sell the 19-year-old midfielder to Atletico.

Salvio is expected to arrive in Madrid on Friday and to undergo a medical next Monday before putting the finishing touches to his contract, however, speaking to sports paper Marca, the player confirmed the agreement.

"I am living the dream of my life, because it will be a dream for me to play in the same team as players such as Kun Aguero and Diego Forlan," he told the Spanish paper.

"Atletico Madrid is one of the biggest teams in Europe and I am arriving with the hope that we will be able to compete for important trophies," he added.

The only problem for Atletico is that the player does not have an EU passport and as a result either Cleber Santana or Cabrera will have to lose their place in the squad to allow him to be registered.

Salvio is Atletico's second signing of the winter transfer window following the agreement to sign Portuguese midfielder Thiago on loan from Juventus.
