JAKARTA, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- At least five people have been killed by diarrhea in South Middle Timor regency of East Nusa Tenggara province in Indonesia in the past week, local media reported Tuesday.
The regency health agency head, Yuli Butu, said Tuesday that dozens of local people had also been treated in health centers and hospitals.
The head of the agency quoted by the Jakarta Post as saying that the medical team had been deployed to the diarrhea-hit area.
Diarrhea and dengue fever have also infected hundreds of toddlers in Kupang, Belu, Sikka, and Alor of the province.
