MADRID, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Spanish La Liga club Espanyol confirmed the signing of Argentinean forward Pablo Daniel Osvaldo until the end of the season on Sunday.

    The player, who celebrates his 24th birthday this Sunday, has joined the Barcelona based club on loan until June from Italian side Bologna.

    Osvaldo will add punch to an Espanyol team that has only scored12 league goals all season.

    He began his career with Argentinean side Huracan before moving to Italy where he played for Atalanta, Lecce and Fiorentina before joining Bologna.
