RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- The drama surrounding Vagner Love's request to leave the Brazil soccer club Palmeiras came to an end on Sunday as the striker was released from his contractual loan and is expected to play for Flamengo until June 30.
"We have paid Vagner all of the pending salaries and benefits. Everything has been arranged with Flamengo and Palmeiras. Now, Flamengo will have to finalize negotiations with CSKA," announced the president of Palmeiras, Luis Gonzaga Belluzzo.
CSKA has declared that they want a tax paid to their club for the transfer. The amount has not yet been divulged.
Flamengo will have to discuss the payment or potential trade of one of their players before Love will officially be able to play for the team from Rio de Janeiro.
