WELLINGTON, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Yanina Wickmayer from Belgium defeated top-seeded Italian Flavia Pennetta of Italy and won the title of the ASB Classic women tennis tournament in Auckland on Saturday.
Wickmayer, the third seed, won 6-3 6-2 in 74 minutes to claim her third WTA Tour title.
Earlier Saturday, the world's No 1 ranked doubles combination, Zimbabwe's Cara Black and American Liezel Huber, claimed their 28th WTA Tour title as a team.
They beat the unseeded pairing of South African Natalie Grandin and American Laura Granville 7-6 (7-4) 6-2.
