CANBERRA, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Spain rallied from behind to beat Britain 2-1 to win its third Hopman Cup mixed tennis title in Perth on Saturday.
Tommy Robredo toppled world number four Andy Murray in the men's singles and paired with Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez for the mixed doubles to help Spain rally for the 2-1 victory.
Earlier, 15-year-old Laura Robson stunned world number 26 Martinez Sanchez 6-1 and 7-6 to give Britain a surprise lead before Robredo levelled for Spain with a 1-6, 6-4 and 6-3 upset of Murray.
The Spaniards then saved three set points in the opening set of the deciding mixed doubles as they clinched a dramatic 7-6 and 7-5 victory to win the event for the third time.
For Robredo, it was his second Hopman Cup victory after partnering Arantxa Sanchez Vicario to the title in 2002.
