RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- Rentaria, the Colombian striker for Atletico-MG, ended his stint with the Brazilian club from Belo Horizonte on Friday.
After failing to appear at the team's first official meeting of the year on January 5, Rentaria again did not show up at the team's first pre-season workout on January 7.
Claiming for more time to work out some personal issues, the striker will never return to the club in 2010 after he and the club's administration worked out a "friendly" deal on Friday that led to his dismissal from Atletico-MG.
In 2009, the striker did not live up to his expectation, playing only 15 games and scoring once. His next team is yet to bedivulged.
The Colombian is the team's third striker to have left the team in 2010. Earlier, Eder Luis was traded to Benfica-POR while Pedro Oldoni was released by the club.
