BERLIN, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- The German industry saw a modest rise in both output and orders in November 2009 from October, the German ministry of economics and technology said on Friday.

After seasonal adaptation, German industrial output and orders in November rose 0.7 percent and 0.2 percent from October respectively, said the German ministry of economics and technology.

As the German industry dropped surprisingly in October in output and orders by 1.7 percent and 1.9 percent respectively, local media had expected that the rising level for output would be1 percent and for orders 1.5 percent.

The modest rise of the German industry was mainly pushed by the increasing German exports amid the global economic recovery, local media reported.

The German exports increased twice as fast as economists' forecast in November, and would play an active role in the whole process of German economic recovery, according to a report by Bloomberg on Friday.
