LIMA, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Peru is expecting to draw more than 23billion U.S. dollars of investment from private entrepreneurs this year, Peru's National Confederation of Private Business Associations (Confiep) said Thursday.

"I believe 2010 will be a better year than 2008, when investment was between 20 billion and 23 billion dollars, because of the investors' optimism in Peru", Confiep President Ricardo Briceno said.

According to Briceno, private companies are willing to invest in Peru, but there are external factors and social problems that may affect the execution of investment projects.
