Dollar rises to two-month high in lower 92 yen range in Tokyo

    TOKYO, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar rose to a two-month high in the lower 92 yen zone Wednesday in thin pre-holiday trading.

    At 5 p.m., the dollar fetched 92.12-14 yen versus Tuesday's 5 p.m. quotes of 91.95-92.05 yen in New York and 91.71-72 yen in Tokyo. The currency traded between 91.91 yen and 92.26 yen, which is the highest since Oct. 27, changing hands most frequently at 92.06 yen.

    The euro traded at 1.4354-4356 dollars and 132.23-27 yen against late Tuesday's quotes of 1.4348-4358 dollars and 132.07-17yen in New York and 1.4415-4416 dollars and 132.20-24 yen in Tokyo.
