    Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao had an online chat with netizens on Feb. 28 at www.gov.cn., the central government website. More than 3.4 million netizens in and outside China were online during the chat, the first between a Chinese Premier and netizens. Wen answered 29 questions from netizens in the two-hour interview.

Chinese Premier hopes for stable, healthy real estate sector

BEIJING, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said here Saturday he hopes to see a stable and healthy development of the country's real estate sector in the face of the global financial crisis.

China should strengthen management and regulation to keep housing prices and the scale of property construction "at a reasonable level", said Wen during an online chat on two state news portals -- the central government website (http://english.gov.cn) and the Xinhua News Agency website (http://www.chinaview.cn ).
