NEW YORK, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- New York Knicks guard Nate Robinson has been fined $25,000 by the NBA after his agent requested a trade.
Robinson, who is not currently in the Knicks starting line-up, was fined for "public statements detrimental to the NBA" that related to a trade and were made by his agent, Aaron Goodwin, on Dec. 19, the league said in a statement.
NBA rules forbid players from making trade demands in public.
Robinson, a two-time winner of the All-Star slam-dunk contest, averaged a career-high 17.2 points last season as the Knicks' sixth man.
