BEIJING, Dec. 29 -- Always trying to be appealling to both ears and eyes are also musicians from the world. From the youngest entertainer of the year at the Country Music Awards, to the famous Scot who made it big overnight, the music scene is never short of singing sensations.

US hip hoppers The Black Eyed Peas had an eye-popping 2009.

The worldwide smash 'Boom Boom Pow' gave the Peas' their first number one hit in the U.S., and it stayed there for a staggering twelve weeks in a row. While the second single from their Grammy nominated album 'The E.N.D.'party anthem 'I Gotta Feeling', became an even bigger hit, taking over from 'Boom Boom Pow' at number one for an incredible fourteen weeks.

Country crossover sensation Taylor Swift may not be Kanye West's favorite artist this year, but that didn't stop her album 'Fearless' from being one of the biggest-sellers of '09.

The 19-year-old earned an impressive 8 Grammy nominations from the album and was named Entertainer of the Year at the Country Music Awards - making her the youngest recipient ever.

One of the biggest surprises in music this year has to be Susan Boyle. The 48-year-old Scot went from unknown to overnight sensation when her audition for "Britain's got Talent" became a huge hit on YouTube.

Her debut album, "I Dreamed A Dream," topped the charts in the U.K. and U.S. and is on track to repeat that success around the world.
