MOSCOW, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- An official website of the Russian Pavilion for the 2010 World Expo was launched Thursday, providing info support for Russia's participation in the global grand gatherings.
The website www.expo2010-russia.ru set in Russian, English and Chinese languages, contains the blueprint of the Russian Pavilion.
From the website netizens can know about not only the design idea and construction updates of the pavilion, but also the preparation work of the Shanghai Expo and news about other participant states.
Those Russians who are interested in visiting the Expo site can also log in the website to get information on visa, boarding and tourism.
The state joint-stock company "All-Russia exhibition center" is fully responsible for Russia's entire exhibition work of the 2010 World Expo. According to the company, during the Expo Russia will display the largest amount of items since Soviet-era.
Construction for the Russian Pavilion, with a total area of 6,000 square meters, was started in June. The pavilion formed by 12 towers with a blend of white, red and golden colors, will showcase the imagination of the future ideal city in a fairy tale world.
The main structure of the Russian Pavilion was formed in a combination of both tradition and modern. The white towers, in irregular shapes, represent the rapid development of the modern metropolis, while the red decoration on top of the buildings originated from traditional Russian folk arts.
There will also be shows inside the pavilion on Russia's latest achievements, inventions and creations in the fields such as energy, pharmacy, aerospace and information technology.
