Wild elephant kills old woman

    KATHMANDU, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- The wild elephant killed one old woman on Thursday in Nepali central Sindhul districti, local media reported Saturday.

    According to local newspaper The Rising Nepal, the total number of people killed in wild elephants attack in the district has reached to four in two weeks' time, with the death of the 66-year-old woman.

    A group of four elephants entered the village and damaged the woman's house before trampling her to death, The Rising Nepal reported, citing the District Police Office as sources.

    More than six houses were damaged in the attack of the wild elephants and one people was injured when the stones of damaged house fell on him, the District Police Office said.

    The victims are displaced and now they are staying at the nearby community forest building, The Rising Nepal reported.
