MEXICO CITY, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- Cruz Azul, a soccer team from Mexico City, has signed Argentine offensive midfielder Christian Jimenez for three years, the club's vice president Alfredo Alvarez Cuevas told media on Thursday.

    Jimenez, who has been playing for Pachuca, a team from the State of Mexico, has also played for Argentine giant Boca Juniors and two other teams in Mexico.

    Alvarez said that Azul is also interested in Pachuca players Gabriel Pereyra and Ismael Fuentes; and that he might be close to a deal for the other two.
