BEIJING, Dec. 17 (Xinhuanet) -- Roy E. Disney, who helped revitalize the animation division of the entertainment empire his uncle Walt Disney built, died Wednesday at the age of 79, according to media reports.

He died of stomach cancer at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, a spokeswoman for the Walt Disney Company said.

Roy E. Disney was the last member of the Disney family to work at the company his uncle and father Roy O. Disney founded.

Disney was well known for his constant public arguments with the company managers, when he felt they were mishandling the company.
