TOKYO, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Nikkei fell Monday morning on profit-taking after Friday's sharp gains.

    The benchmark Nikkei-225 index lost 76.99 points, or 0.76 percent, from Friday to 10,030.88.

    The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 8.73 points, or 0.98 percent, to 879.84.
