TOKYO, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar traded in the lower 89 yen range early Monday in Tokyo, up slightly from its levels Friday in New York.

    At 9 a.m., the dollar fetched 89.26-29 yen compared with 89.05-15 yen in New York and 88.68-70 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday.

    The euro traded at 1.4625-4630 dollars and 130.54-57 yen against late Friday's quotes of 1.4622-4632 dollars and 130.30-40 yen in New York and 1.4722-4723 dollars and 130.56-60 yen in Tokyo.
