HONG KONG, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Chinese star hurdler Liu Xiang drew a huge number of audience and considerable media coverage Friday morning as he was about to participate the 110m hurdles heat of East Asian Games.

    An unexpected number of spectators packed the Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground while photographers and cameramen had already been in position long before the race started.

    The 110m hurdlers final will be held Friday afternoon.
