HANOI, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The China-aided dormitory building project for the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy of Vietnam was successfully completed, according to a celebration ceremony here on Monday.
The project is a 15-storey building with the aid of 4.5 million U.S. dollars from the Chinese government. The political academy is well known for training tens of thousands of cadres for Vietnam, including many top leaders for the country during the past six decades.
Le Huu Nghia, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and director of the academy, said at the ceremony that Vietnam and China have a long history of friendship.
The dormitory project demonstrates the friendship between Vietnamese and Chinese parties, states and peoples, he said.
Lu Jianhua, Assistant Commerce Minister of China said at the ceremony that Chinese and Vietnamese technicians have cooperated closely to carry out the project, enhancing understanding and friendship.
He believed the project will contribute to the development of the Vietnamese political academy and friendship of the two countries.
