PARIS, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- French top officials on Monday expressed concerns about Iran's plan to build 10 more nuclear facilities, calling it "dangerous" and "childish."

Iran's defiance of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) resolutions was already "very dangerous," Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner told the Figaro newspaper.

Iran's further move was "ironic enough" and a "childish response" to IAEA's unanimous decision, Kouchner said, attributing its bold announcement to the lack of coherence inside Iranian leadership.

"It has no nuclear enrichment center yet, why announcing a program of 10 more?" he asked.

French Defense Minister Herve Morin, however, inclined to impose further sanctions on Iran. "It is clear that efforts of (U.S. President) Barack Obama and the international communities in the past weeks did not work," he told the France Inter Radio.

If Iran refuses to return to new discussions, "new economic sanctions probably should be taken," Morin said.

The IAEA board of governors passed a resolution on Friday, calling for "full cooperation" of Iran to clarify all outstanding issues involving its nuclear program.

The Iranian government Sunday ordered the country's Atomic Energy Organization to build 10 new uranium enrichment sites, saying the move is aimed to produce more electricity in the future.
