GOYANG, South Korea, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- An Yong-kwon of South Korea claimed two gold medals in the men's +105kg category, the last competition at the world weightlifting championships here on Sunday.
The 27-year-old lifter scored a winning total of 445kg and also won the clean and jerk with a lift of 247kg.
In the competition of the snatch, Shymechko Ihor of Ukraine finished first with 202kg and his compatriot Udachyn Artem hoisted200kg for the silver. An failed at 206kg to stop at 198kg.
In the clean and jerk, An succeeded in his all three attempts with 233kg, 240kg and 247kg to place first, followed by Udachyn with 245kg, and Kozlov Andrey of Russia with 231kg.
An won the total title with 445kg, and Udachyn lifted the same weight but took the silver due to the body weight disadvantage. The bronze went to Shymechko who totaled 427kg.
