CHANGSHA, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Deputy mayor of Wugang City in central China's Hunan Province has committed suicide, according toa statement from the municipal government of Shaoyang, which has jurisdiction over Wugang.

    Yang Kuansheng, the deputy mayor, jumped off a government dormitory building, where he had lived, at around 6 a.m. Thursday, said the statement without mentioning from which floor he jumped.

    A team of provincial and municipal police and legal medical experts concluded at 7 p.m. Friday that Yang, suffering from depression, killed himself, the statement said.

    The statement gave no further details.
