VIENNA, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- Germany on Thursday introduced a draft resolution on the Iranian nuclear issue at a meeting of the UN nuclear watchdog in Vienna.

The draft resolution, tabled at a Board of Governors meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), would require a complete compliance of Iran with the terms of the IAEA as well as the immediate suspension of work at its second uranium enrichment facility near Qom.

The draft resolution asks Iran to answer all the IAEA's outstanding questions relating to the investment in Qom and stop building any more secret nuclear plants.

The draft resolution will be put to vote at the IAEA Board of Governors meeting, participants of Thursday's meeting said.

The text had reportedly won backing of the six parties on the Iranian nuclear issue -- Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia and the United States.

If approved by the 35-member IAEA governing board, the resolution would be its first action against Iran in almost four years.

The last formal resolution on Iran was adopted by the IAEA in February 2006, when the Board of Governors of the IAEA referred Iran's nuclear issue to the UN Security Council over Tehran's refusal to suspend uranium enrichment.
