Gago, 23, is in his third season with the club that he joined from Boca Juniors, but the arrival of Xavi Alonso from Liverpool has limited his starting chances and according to his agent, Marcelo Lombilla, Gago is unhappy.
"It's not a question of money, what Gago wants is match rhythm, because the World Cup is getting close and he wants (Argentina coach Diego) Maradona to pick him for the squad," Lombilla said.
"It's no good to me to have a player who is not happy with his club, Gago is not playing and when Gago is not crying, he stays at home crying," he added.
