KATHMANDU, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- The meeting of Nepali Legislature Parliament commenced on Monday after five months of disruption by the main opposition Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (UCPN-M).

Speaking in the House, UCPN-M Deputy Parliamentary Party leader and vice chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha said his party has let the House resume so that the budget can be passed.

He added that the UCPN-M is in the third phase of their protest program as the ruling coalition has not given attention to the political crisis in the country.

The main opposition party decided to let the parliament function only for three days from Monday in order to pass the annual budget of fiscal year 2009/10.

The budget will be passed Tuesday after a discussion. ¡¡
