SANTIAGO, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chile on Friday rejected a saying that the country was witnessing another massive outbreak of the A/H1N1 influenza.

    Rumors spread about a renewed onslaught of the A/H1N1 on the country after a patient who had visit Mexico was hospitalized in grave flu conditions.

    "That is among the normal, and there are many cases of people who have traveled and most possibly have been infected outside the country," said Cecilia Morales, Chile's vice health minister.

    Morales said "we have a low circulation of the virus." "There has been a larger circulation of the A/H1N1 virus, but it does not happen here," the minister affirmed.

    The 50-year-old patient was hospitalized on Thursday after a trip to Mexico. The authorities said the patient was receiving anti-viral treatment and was in stable condition.

    Chile registered 10 cases of A/H1N1 flu cases last month.
