BERLIN, Nov. 20, 2009 (Xinhua) -- In Germany, no kindergarten can attract attention and win praises like the Music Kindergarten where musicians from the Staatsoper regularly come to perform and talk with children.

As the first kindergarten in Berlin with a new concept of music education, the Music Kindergarten was established in 2005 by Daniel Barenboim, chief conductor of Staatsoper unter den Linden (National Theatre) in Berlin.

A total of 60 children are registered in the kindergarten located in the city center. There are plenty of activities for children in the Music Kindergarten to participate in. In the room of class four, the teacher is singing song about falling leaves in autumn when playing guitar. Meanwhile, children are playing various musical instruments, including wood sticks, bronze shelves, gongs and bells.

The 5-year-old girl Charlotte Piotrowski is a star in her class, who performed a violin solo on St. Martin's Day or Martinmas in front of all her classmates during the time for collective activities on Nov. 11. She even has a private tutor teaching her to play the violin after school.
