BANGKOK, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- The Thai government may impose the Internal Security Act (ISA) to ensure peace and security during the forthcoming mass anti-government rally, Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban said Friday.

The weekly cabinet meeting on Tuesday might be proposed to consider about the ISA enforcement, Thai News Agency quoted Suthepas saying.

The Thai government will carefully evaluate areas, in which the ISA law, will be imposed, Suthep said.

However, the ISA imposition will not affect the normal life of the people, the deputy prime minister said.

The anti-government group -- the United front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) plans to hold the mass rally from Nov. 28 to Dec. 2.

The gathering will start from about 12:00 a.m. local time on Nov. 28, at the Democracy Monument on Rat-cha-dam-nern road in the center of capital Bangkok.

The UDD core leader said the red-shirted protestors will peacefully disperse early morning on Dec. 2.

The rally purpose is to bring down the coalition government, while the UDD group expects at least one million UDD supporters will join the rally.
