BANGKOK, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- The Thai anti-government group -- the United front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) announced Thursday a change on their schedule of a mass anti-government rally.

The UDD rally will be held from Nov. 28 to Dec. 2, one day sooner than previously planned, Natthawut Saikua, a UDD core leader, said.

Earlier, the UDD group, which is also known as the red-shirted people, planned to hold the anti-government rally from Nov. 29 to Dec. 3.

The gathering will start from about 12:00 a.m. local time on Nov. 28, at the Democracy Monument on Rat-cha-dam-nern road in the center of capital Bangkok, according to Natthawut.

The UDD core leader said the red-shirted protestors will peacefully disperse early morning on Dec. 2.

The rally purpose is to bring down the coalition government, while the UDD group predicted at least 1 million UDD supporters would join the rally.
