YANGON, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- The death toll with a ferry boat capsize accident in Myanmar's southwestern Ayeyawaddy division on Sunday night has risen to 42 from 31 as of Wednesday, the local Biweekly Eleven reported Thursday.

Hunting for the eight other missing passengers is still underway, the report said.

Of the 176 passengers on board the ferry, 126 survive.

The ferry boat, Nay Myo Tun Kyi, sunk on Nov. 15 night after colliding with an oil barge, Dhana, in the Ngawun River, about 10.45 kilometers from Pathein, the capital of Ayayawaddy division.

Meanwhile, the transport authorities have issued an advisory to ferry boat operators, based in Pathein, not to transport passengers from dusk to dawn on consideration of safety.
