BEIJING, Nov. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- The first group of 120 technicians from Tibet have been sent to colleges and research institutes in other parts of China for advanced study, according to the Tibet Autonomous Regional Government.
The training plan, jointly drawn up by related central departments and the Tibet Autonomous Regional Government, has been approved by the State Council, China's cabinet.

The Central Government began in 2009 to allocate special funds for the training program.
According to the plan, 120 technicians from Tibet will be trained every year during 2009 and 2013.
They will join in a one-year training program in the educational, health, research and development, and business sectors in inland areas.
Meanwhile, experts from other parts of China will be sent to Tibet to give lectures and offer technical guidance.
Statistics show that by the end of 2008, Tibet had had 49,000 professionals, with 37,000 from ethnic minorities, or 75.5 percent of the total.
Tibet's 30 tourism service providers receive training in Guangdong
BEIJING, Nov. 13 (Xinhuanet) -- Thirty farmers and herders providing tourism services from Tibet's Nyingchi Prefecture attended a tourism training course that opened in Zhaoqing City, south China's Guangdong Province, Thursday.
The course held by Zhaoqing Tourism College will last for one month.¡¡
141 Tibetan women complete skill training course
BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- A total of 141 Tibetan women from the rural areas in Lhasa, and Shannan and Xigaze prefectures completed a three-month training course in Doilungdeqen County, Lhasa, on Friday.
The attendees learned various skills including those for making Tibetan incense, providing etiquette service, performing songs and dances, sewing and marketing.
