Iran's parliament approves three new ministers

    TEHRAN, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Iran's parliament (Majlis) Sunday approved the remaining three ministers for President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's cabinet, the official IRNA news agency reported.

    The parliament Sunday gave confidence vote for the proposed candidates for the education ministry, energy ministry and ministry of welfare and social security.

    Hamid Reza Hajibabai was approved as the education minister, former Interior Minister Sadeq Mahsouli was approved as the minister of welfare and social security and Majid Namjou, former deputy energy minister, was approved as the new energy minister.

    On Sept. 3, Iran's parliament approved 18 nominees out of 21-member cabinet proposed by Ahmadinejad.

    On June 13, the Iran's interior ministry announced that Ahmadinejad won 62.63 percent of the total ballots in the June 12 presidential election.
