LAGOS, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Nigeria's Sani Emmanuel is one of the three prolific strikers at the ongoing U-17 World Cup and his chances of emerging the tournament's highest scorer are bright.

Emmanuel's chances of netting a goal or two in Sunday's final against Switzerland in Abuja to increase his tally from the present five to six or more cannot be ruled out.

The Eaglets' marksman, who has come off the bench to score all his goals in the second half has Spain's Borja to contend with for the Adidas Golden Shoe award.

Borja, who scored La Rojita's consolation goal in Thursday's semi-final 3-1 loss to the Eaglets, has also netted five goals. Uruguay's Sebastian Gallegos also scored five goals but he is out of the race following their ouster from the championship.

Borja could also increase his tally as Spain is in the race for the bronze medal. The Spaniards face Colombia in the third place match also on Sunday in Abuja.

Switzerland's pair of Nassim Ben Khalifa and Haris Seferovic is not far behind as they have both netted four goals apiece. The Swiss will also be attempting to increase their scores when they take on defending champions Nigeria in the final.

FIFA said on its Media Channel website on Friday that in case of a tie, assists and minutes played would be used to decide the winner.

Meanwhile, 149 goals have been scored in all 50 matches played so far. Two years ago in South Korea, 167 were scored, according to the world soccer body.
