VIENNA, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- One more A/H1N1 flu patient died in the "state hospital (LKH Graz)" of Graz, a southeast state of Austria, which was the country's third case of death.
According to Austrian Broadcasting (ORF) on Friday evening, the deceased was a 26-year-old student, who was hospitalized five days ago with high fever and was confirmed infecting with the H1N1 virus.
He was also a kidney patient, and had undergone kidney transplant. The immediate causes of his death were pneumonia and myocarditis.
On Nov. 2, a 11-year-old girl infected with the H1N1 flu died in "state hospital (LKH Innsbruck)" of Innsbruck, a western state of Austria. Eight days later, a 38-year-old man also died of the deadly flu in Salzburg, a state in the north of Austria on Nov. 10.
A universal vaccination started on Nov. 9 in Austria to prevent a large-scale infection. Many Austrians were not enthusiastic to take the vaccine firstly. At the first day of Austrian universal vaccination, less than 1 million Austrians took the vaccination.
However, after the news of the second case of death reported in Austria, the number of the residents carrying out vacation increased significantly. Austrian Press Agency (APA) said on Friday evening that there were totally 10 million Austrians taking vaccination so far, and only in Vienna, the number was 30,000.
A nurse in Lower Austria, a state of Austria, told Xinhua reporter that people have to wait for at least three hours to take the vaccination at the place where she works.
